We can research our alternatives, both new and used. We can easily learn what various cars are selling for, since the world is our marketplace. Sites such as PeopleFirst allow us to apply, and be approved for a loan before we show up on the lot. According to Stricker, cash in hand allows women to gain confidence, and the ability to negotiate as a cash buyer. There is usually more than one way to accomplish our goals. We can be empowered by people we never meet. Awareness is the first step. Small adjustments make a big difference.
